Information Technology Services

From data entry or printing standard reports to network administration, data communication, geographical information systems, or large-scale programming efforts, KEVRIC, an IMC company (KEVRIC) is ready to provide the necessary Information Technology resources to support any given project, particularly in the areas of health and environmental sciences and management and technical support. KEVRIC is dedicated to providing comprehensive user support for our clients and their staffs.

Our Health and Environmental Sciences Group has a multidisciplinary staff of physicians, nurses, health education and communication specialists, engineers, environmental scientists, molecular biologists, toxicologists, epidemiologists, biochemists, biostatisticians, industrial hygienists, statisticians, and information specialists. Staff members support a multitude of client needs, ranging from medical and scientific database support to health hazard assessment.

Our Management and Technical Support Group comprises experts in the fields of information management, database design and restructuring, facilities management, geographic information systems mapping, economics, regulatory review, network administration, program evaluation, publications, graphic design, and desktop publishing. Collaboration among group members provides a broad range of interdisciplinary professional services for clients.

In addition to specialized technical acumen, KEVRIC staff can offer assistance in the cutting-edge area of enterprise resource planning (ERP) support. The scope of ERP implementation encompasses what is often referred to as the entire value chain of the enterprise, from prospect and customer management through order fulfillment and delivery. Although ERP has its origins in manufacturing and production planning systems, the scope of ERP offerings expanded in the mid-1990s to include other "back-office" functions, such as order management, financial management, warehousing, distribution production, quality control, asset management, and human resources management. The range of functionality of ERP systems now includes more "front-office" functions, such as sales force and marketing automation, electronic commerce, and supply chain systems.

KEVRIC understands that one of the most important aspects of modern ERP systems is the integration that is implicit in the design of the software, and the business processes that are supported. For example, KEVRIC can facilitate the integration of ERP software into an order- processing system, which in turn can be directly linked to a financial system.

KEVRIC meets client needs with state-of-the-art communications equipment. A company-wide computer network is in place, running under Microsoft Windows NT and offering full connectivity to all personnel for electronic mail, file sharing, and printer sharing. The network also allows for connectivity to our T-1 data communications line or an ISDN data line for easy access to the Internet for the World Wide Web and electronic mail. KEVRIC maintains its T-1 line connection through the National Library of Medicine and operates a fiber-optic network configuration at its headquarters in Silver Spring.
