Web Site Development and Maintenance

KEVRIC is prepared to provide full web site support services, including web site creation, development, hosting, and, if required, security. Our staff use current web authoring tools, HTML, JavaScript, or any other web-compatible programming languages in order to develop and/or maintain the site.

With the ever-growing need to support the Web as a viable data dissemination tool, KEVRIC can offer real-time, web-based data management support. This service allows the end-user to access mission-critical project information using data security methodologies to protect against unauthorized access to project specific data. KEVRIC has enabled clients to maintain access to project status at all times, and from the convenience of their desks.

KEVRIC's staff have created, developed, administered, and enhanced existing web site designs, including graphics and documents associated with web sites for the Air Force, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Center for Health Statistics, and the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research. KEVRIC provides media in a variety of formats, depending on the ordering agency's software requirements. KEVRIC provides continual web site updates and maintenance for several clients.

As a sample, KEVRIC has developed the following:

Web site for Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence
http://www.afcee.brooks.af.mil

Web site for Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence PRO-ACT
http://www.afcee.brooks.af.mil/pro-act/pro-acthome.asp

Web site for OhASIS (Office of Health and Safety Information System)
http://www.cdc.gov/od/ohs
(also includes Intranet web page support)

Web site for Surgeon General's Report on Oral Health
(National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research)
http://kevric.com/sgrohweb/home.htm

Web Site for CSC/FEMA Housing Inspection Service
http://cschis.com/

Web Site for CSC/FEMA National Flood Insurance Program
http://nfip.kevric.com

In addition, KEVRIC developed the new Inside OhASIS Intranet site to restrict the dissemination of CDC-specific information outside the CDC firewall.

KEVRIC is responsible for the structure, design, and function of both the Internet and the Intranet portions of OhASIS, including developing and maintaining the document structure for the web sites; determining which information should be included on the system; obtaining and editing documents provided by CDC staff; converting documents to HTML (editing and designing for online format); creating hotlinks for index pages and referenced pages inside and outside OhASIS; making changes as documents are modified; increasing CDC-wide awareness of OhASIS; and maintaining the function of the Service Request system on the Intranet.

KEVRIC's staff also provided state-of-the-art Intranet technical support services for the National Center for Health Statistics, using unique user requirements. The solution was a hybrid Intranet design that unified the capability to access 16-bit desktop applications and took into account a diverse group of legacy information systems as well as newly developed collaborative groupware applications.

Groupware developed included the following:

  • Site administration using MS FrontPage98 and custom HTML and JavaScript;
  • HTML Welcome/What's New/Announcements using elements of JavaScript and Dynamic HTML to inform users of current events;
  • A series of password-protected, database-linked, searchable threaded discussion forums, both moderated and unmoderated, created with Radnet WebShare;
  • A commercial event scheduler using Amplitude EventCenter;
  • A commercial resource scheduler for conference rooms, video teleconferencing sessions, laptop loaner program, audiovisual equipment, etc., using Amplitude Reserve;
  • An issue-tracking system using Allaire Cold Fusion;
  • Site search features using the Verity search engine; and
  • Electronic forms access using JetForms.
